HOK Therapy · Online individual therapy

Therapy for college students and young adults.

For the overthinking, the pressure to keep up, and the moments when you’re unsure what comes next. You don’t have to sort through it all by yourself.

Hi, I’m Julissa Hok, LCSW. I offer virtual therapy for college students and young adults in Connecticut, New York, Maine, and Ohio. Our work starts with what you’re experiencing and what you want to be different.

Anxiety and overthinking

Replaying a conversation after it ends. Worrying about a deadline before you’ve even started. Feeling on edge when you finally have time to rest.

We can explore what fuels the worry, practice ways to respond to anxious thoughts, and work toward feeling more present in your daily life.

Perfectionism and fear of failure

You may spend hours revising an assignment, avoid starting because it won’t be good enough, or feel that one mistake says something about who you are.

Together, we can examine those expectations, build a more flexible response to mistakes, and make room for goals that matter to you.

Burnout and boundaries

Classes, work, relationships, and family expectations can leave little space for you. Saying yes may feel easier than disappointing someone, even when you’re exhausted.

We can look at what’s draining your energy, practice setting boundaries, and find a pace that leaves room for rest and connection.

Imposter feelings and life transitions

Starting college, graduating, entering a new job, or changing relationships can bring up questions about belonging and what you want your life to look like.

Therapy can offer a place to explore those questions, notice unhelpful comparisons, and make choices that reflect your values.

A practical, collaborative approach.

There’s no expectation to arrive with a polished explanation. We’ll talk about what’s happening, make sense of recurring patterns, and practice skills you can try between sessions.

We’ll set goals together and check in about what’s helping. Your experience and feedback shape the work.

Online therapy that fits into your life.

Sessions take place by secure video and last 50 minutes. You’ll need a private space and a reliable internet connection. A dorm room, apartment, or home can work when you can speak freely and confidentially.

You must be physically located in Connecticut, New York, Maine, or Ohio at the time of your session. If you travel between home and school, we can discuss how that affects scheduling.

HOK Therapy is a private-pay, out-of-network practice. Review current rates, insurance information, and FAQs before getting started.
